Pie&Vinyl presents….a new evening of live music outside of HQ

Pie&Vinyl Presents……

After the outstanding success of our Southsea Fest stage this year, Pie & Vinyl are now embarking on a new monthly night that will see prestigious and rising bands and artists alike taking to various stages across Portsmouth & Southsea for your enjoyment! Once again the venture is in collaboration with local new music blog Can’t Hear My Eyes (www.canthearmyeyes.co.uk) as well as Outright Management (www.facebook.com/outrightmanagement).

Our aim is to mix touring bands that may have released an album or two (or are already well on the way to establishing themselves) – with local bands that have the ambition to break through.

Our first evening out will be Friday 23rd November in which Montreal’s TOPS will perform one of the best debut releases of the year at The Registry. A firm favourite of the staff at Pie & Vinyl, we urge you to join us to see this special band whose recently released debut record ‘Tender Opposites’ was brought to you by Arbutus Records: home of Grimes and Sean Nicholas Savage. If you’re into soft-psych pop with an 80s shine and Fleetwood Mac sensibilities, this is not an act you should miss. Take a look at the video for their latest single ‘Turn Your Love Around’ here: http://youtu.be/dGEcQ73qVL8Support comes in the form of local noise-makers WATASHI CALCUTECS. If you’re not familiar with their brand of psychedelic riffs, then take a listen over on their SoundCloud: http://soundcloud.com/watashicalcutecsThe best news? This show is ABSOLUTELY FREE. All you have to do is turn up!In the meantime Join our facebook event page on http://www.facebook.com/events/165756283567383/http://www.strong-island.co.uk/?s=tops
