SMOKE FAIRIES – Live In Store as part of P&V Record Store Day 2014 and to celebrate the release of their new album!

We can’t wait for this one!

(Incase you missed our RSD 2014 announcement) Smoke Fairies will be playing live in store on Thursday, 17th April at 6:30pm.

Local belles (Chichester), and sisters in arms who appease every sense and in particular ears and souls are back in our little record shop to support us in the build up to Record Store Day 2014!

What an absolute pleasure, and how excited are we?

They’ll als0 be releasing their hotly anticipated new album on new label (one of our favourites) ‘Full Time Hobby’, on Monday the 14th April – and we’ll be selling their eponymously titled third studio album ‘Smoke Fairies’ on all formats from that date, and during the show.

You’ll be able to hear these new songs played for the first time, live and exclusively at Pie&Vinyl…how we love to give you gifts):

We’ll also be selling pies, so supper and Smoke Fairies sound like the perfecto combo to me!

The guys will be playing at 6:30pm and the event is free entry to the first 60 people who show up!

We will be closing our doors to prepare at 5:30pm, and will open at 6:15pm to let folk in. As per usual, we’ll be taking food and drink orders in the queue. Yum.

More details on those Smoke Fairies below…

See you there then! P&V

New Album April 14th 2014
First Track Revealed – “Eclipse Them All”
New Label : Full Time Hobby
Smoke Fairies (Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies) reveal the first track from their eponymously titled third studio album Smoke Fairies.
The album will be released on 14th April, their first for label Full Time Hobby, and will be available on 180g heavy-weight vinyl, CD and download.
“This album gave us the opportunity to actually be two voices, rather than two voices as one entity: two people talking to each other as distinct characters. They’re the messages that we send to each other.”
– Katherine Blamire
Smoke Fairies was produced by Kristofer Harris at Squarehead Studio located on a industrial estate in Kent (UK). The album explores the classic Smoke Fairies sound while pushing into new forms of musical expression.
