Pie & Vinyl Presents are gleefully happy to welcome Russian ‘stargazers’ GNOOMES to The Wave Maiden, Southsea on 1st June.
Hailing from Perm – a City located deep within the Ural Mountains some 700 miles from Moscow – the band have embraced the isolation of their surroundings to create a unique aural landscape, mixing psych wonderment, shoegaze sonics, krautrock beats and a deep fascination with the offerings of esteemed UK electronic label Warp Records.

Signed to Rocket Recordings – home of Goat, Gnod & Hey Colossus – they have released two albums since forming in 2014. The expansive 4 song suite ‘Ngan’ was released in 2015 gaining critical acclaim and airplay onBBC Radio 6 Music.’Tschak!’ followed in 2017 and took a slightly different direction, keeping the wide eyed sense of wonder, but taking a more concise approach to its 10 tracks, making use of spluttering Soviet era electronics to cover everything from experimental noise collage to hook laden synth pop.

Reviews of ‘Tschak’!:

“A bit of a triumph” – Loud and Quiet Magazine
