HOWLING BELLS live in store…Magic Times.

Have we got a sweet, sweet show for you…

We are deeeelighted to announce those marvels from down under HOWLING BELLS for a very intimate in store show. WowLolz.

The Guys will be appearing stripped down, nearly naked (Instrument wise you dirty things) and ready to play for you at 6:30pm on Monday 9th June.

We’ll be closing the store at 5:15 to prepare, and open at 6:15 for you to take your position.

This is of course free to attend, but only for the first 60 people in the store – so get there early to avoid disappointment. We’ll also be taking food orders in the queue, so feed your organs as well as your eyes and ears.

We will be selling their new album HEARTSTRINGS on the evening of the show, and get this – we are feeling frivolous, so anyone that buys the record will get a free drink on the house.

The gang will also be performing at the Wedgewood rooms in the evening – tickets available here:

Howling Bells, 2013

*Released 2nd JUNE (Birthday Records)*

*Slowburn – The Single, 7th April*

*LIVE IN LONDON @ Oslo, 7th April*

Howling Bells return with their stunning new album, Heartstrings, on 2nd June.  Recorded at London’s Assault and Battery Studios with producers Catherine J Marks and Alan Moulder, the album is preceded by a single, Slowburn, on 7th April. The band will celebrate the release of the single with a live show at London’s Oslo, also on 7th April.

Heartstrings is Howling Bells’ fourth album, and the first they have recorded in their adopted hometown of London (the band’s debut, Howling Bells (2006), was demoed in Australia and recorded in Liverpool, while Radio Wars (2009) and 2011’s The Loudest Engine saw the band decamp to Los Angeles and Las Vegas respectively).

Taking a different approach to the making of their previous records, Howling Bells made the recording of Heartstrings an intense process, laying down a track a day for 11 days, resulting in a potent collection of songs. “Having a deadline means you’re forced to make crucial artistic decisions in a very short time. You don’t have the luxury of overthinking. I feel this process shaped the album. As a result, you become incredibly connected to the musical spirit of the band.” says frontwoman Juanita Stein. “We loved every second of it”.
